The Animal Census has started!

Washington Township would like to inform you that a Animal Census has started.  Census takers will be clearly identified with ID tags and driving marked vehicles with the Township logo.  Please ask to see identification if you have concerns that the person you are speaking to is not part of the census program. 

It is important to license and vaccinate your animal to protect residents and pets of Washington Township from Rabies.  Current year licensing should  have been completed prior to January 31st.  Late fees will be applied for all animals licensed after January 31st.  

Licenses may be obtained at the Tax Department in the Municipal Building.

Proof of a rabies vaccination and spaying/neutering (if applicable) is required to license your animal.  The Rabies vaccination certificate must be valid through November 1st of the licensing year.  If the certificate is not valid through November 1st of the licensing year, the animal must be vaccinated prior to licensing.

License Application Forms

The license application can be found below. Please complete the application and then print the application for EACH animal you license.  Bring this application along with the current rabies information and Spay/Neuter certificate to the office.  If you choose to mail in your application please include a self addressed stamped envelope to expedite the application.

Dog and Cat License Application

Annual Licensing Fees if paid by January 31st

Neutered Dog $10.00 per animal

Non-neutered Dog $13.00 per animal

Neutered Cat $8.50 per animal

Non-neutered Cat $11.50 per animal

LATE FEE after January 31
$4.00 for the month of February and then $3.00 a month from March through December.
